We're currently putting out some new features, sweeping out the cobwebs and zapping a few gremlins.
We'll be back later. In the meantime, please enjoy a layman's explanation of our website... http://youtube.com/img/down/how_it_works.jpg |
despite what other people think, i think Google Video has some better features than YouTube.. and of course a better search engine.. i choose to use it not just because its a Google service.. (its correct though.. but not quite).. i choose to use it cause i really like how simple it is.. dont you guys?
so, YouTube can have all the features they want.. im staying with Google! |
I would disagree with that. YouTube is still simple enough to be usable. But it has enough features to be a community.
Google Video and YouTube are not _as_ different as Picasa Web Albums and Flickr are. But I think in terms of community (or lack of) the difference is similar. Google hasn't _quite_ got "social" yet. |
nevertheless, i still prefer Google |
That is fair enough. Google Video is nice. YouTube (I *think*) has more content though. |
and i know people know YouTube better than Google Video.. and people can upload their videos faster and all.. (i think its faster.. isnt it :/)
but Google is more organized than YouTube..i cant explain how.. but its more organized than YouTube.. |
David, I think it used to be faster (Google used to screen content before allowing it to appear), but that's no longer the case. Now uploads do appear almost right away.
But I'm sure YouTube has more current/popular content. For example, Stephen Colbert's show, The Colbert Report, has become incredibly popular. YouTube has many uploads, and always has at least a few uploads from a show that aired the night before. On the other hand, a quick search on Google Video shows one hit in August for the word Colbert.
I think Google Video is better positioned as a commercial service for paid videos, but I prefer YouTube overall just for sheer quantity. You can almost literally find anything on it. |
I got a internal error HTTP 500 during few seconds, now it seems to be back http://www.youtube.com/ what's new? |
Google rocks anyways....
Google video is what I like better. Simple and easy to use. |
