Installed it over my Gmail Notifier for mac. I have to say I am not too impressed. It takes up twice the space in the menu bar and I don't think I use calendar enough for the calendar half of it to appear useful to me at this stage.
The email alerts are however much better. I think it is using Growl (someone can perhaps confirm this) it certainly looks like it.

I would say not. In fact since downloading it I have been put off having a Google Notifier at all, and uninstalled that too. I am now using Mail (i.e. Outlook by Apple) instead of the web interface of Gmail (via POP).
They improved the graphics for the release. That red envelope looks nicer in the new version for instance. But it is not enough to tempt me to be honest. |
