The programmer in question was me. And yes, I don't claim to fully understand HTML. Does anyone? That doesn't mean the code is crap. It's just a quick example showing you how to use PHP4's domxml to parse the results. I didn't bother putting a fancy HTML interface on it because that wasn't the point of the example.
For a much fancier example that does have pretty HTML around it I wrote, have a look at:
http://buzz.progphp.com
(I still don't claim to understand HTML. I am a backend guy.)
The code is explained here:

Thanks Rasmus for clearing that up. I now think your comment was irony! I hope we get a PHP5 example with the SDK as well. The original post is updated. |
I suppose I shouldn't stomp on Rasmus' humor, having resisted the temptation in the previous thread, but if you have a google around, you might find that he does have a fair understanding of the intersection of HTML and PHP: try searching for something like "rasmus lerdorf original author of php". |
Phil, see the post I wrote again – it has been updated a while ago. |
Sorry if this is just way too below the belt, but I'm far more concerned by Rasmus' public admission to being a 'back end guy'. Still I'm not homophobic and Rasmus has given us so much that I guess he's entitled to 'take a little'. |
