Look forward to an improved Writely. The functionality is good, excellent even, but a word-processor is one application that HAS to look great. A nice clean interface is what's needed, with the menu bar as discreet as possible. I find Writely's big buttons a bit distracting, and still prefer to use Notepad or MS Word (with the menus hidden) if I don't need to keep the file available on more than one computer.

My dream is for a big white page you can just type on wherever you are, with none of the fuss.

I just received this e-mail from Writely:

Dear [my gmail address],

In a few days, we will update your Writely account to use your [my gmail address] Google Account registration settings.

This means you'll need to use your Google Account password when signing in, not your Writely password (if they're different).
