Ask.com now offers real time earthquake reports from around the globe.
  
Simply search "earthquakes" and get the latest in near real time.

You can also create a search to narrow to a specific region.

This is cool and all and more content providers should start using them.

But on a Personal Level, What are the odds people will use this ?

Not sure what you mean about posting real-time data Sohil. Google and Ask both do it with weather, flight info, etc. This is just a variation. Who might find that earthquake info useful? Here are five groups that come to mind:

+ Students.

+ Weather fanatics

+ Journalists

+ Geology Students

+ People who have friends living in an area where a quake took place and want to monitor for aftershocks.

We're doing a lot with placing real time info (often using RSS feeds directly on results pages). It's a great way to get people to use RSS (it's still far from mainstream and places the info where people will find it on results pages.
