I made the mistake of installing Outlook (since fixed) but now I can't use the "Send to" option to srat up Gmail when I want to mail files from the desktop. Can anyone tell me how to restore this behaviour?
I'm talking about right-clicking on a file and choosing "send to" menu option.

I think you need to get the Gmail Notifier, and then enable the option somewhere in the preferences. |
naah, there's no preference.
I've never been able to have Gmail as the default. Funny. |
There definately is a preference. I am not sure exactly where it is.
Ah here...

that only works for inside a browser with a mailto link. unfortunately since gmail isn't an email client you cant configure windows to open up gmail in your browser for email. you could g for thunderbird though. |
also, you don't need the gmail notifier to set gmail as the default mailto link-- you can use the google toolbar. i personally don't like the gmail notifier because i use gtalk. |
