Do you get any kind of satisfaction or you got angry by checking this tool ?
It is everyone's question!

I think these tools greatly inflate everybody's salary.

Don't use something like this to bargain for your next raise... or you'll probably be looking for a new job.

" blogger makes $39,000" – that's probably "blogger" meaning "Public Relations / Marketer", for which $40 K is believable. NOT "writer of an online diary with lots of pictures of cats".

Where did they get the salary for [Google Programmer]? I clicked through, and there was one job listed, with no salary given.

I'm skeptical about their numbers.

Politician.

$23,000

Sure they do.

The term you choose differs greatly.

For example a "Medical" Doctor makes more than a plain Doctor according to this.

Here's from their "how does it work" page:

"Salary Search is based on an index of salary information extracted from over 50 million job postings from thousands of unique sources over the last 12 months. Many job descriptions don't contain salary information, but there are enough that do to produce statistically significant average salaries for millions of keyword, job title and location combinations – in fact, most job searches you are likely to think of."

But yes, I agree we have reason to be skeptical...

... Ain't it the truth?

Regarding:

   President of the USA $44,000
   Webmaster $49,000

If those figures were right (they're not) I'd say the pres was overpaid.

high school dropout: $83,000

part of the issue is authority problems as I point out here:

Bottom Line?
I agree with PL you need to skeptical just like with Zillow.com and other databases.
