With the recent launch of the European Archive Foundation Free Digital Library http://www.europarchive.org/
The ResourceShelf team has gathered a list (not comprehensive) of several other large web page preservation and archive projects with more to come in future posts.
From the 75 million page (and full text search Nutch powered) 2004 Presidential Term Web Harvest to Anarchism to Pandora to the United Kingdom Web Archiving Consortium, you'll find links to all of them and more in this post: http://www.resourceshelf.com/2006/09/30/european-archive-foundation-launches-free-digital-library-list-of-other-web-archives/
Again, this is a short list. Many more projects to be noted in future posts. |
I wish the Wayback machine would work bug free. As an example, I'm visiting their Web Pioneers selection linked from your article (at http://web.archive.org/collections/pioneers.html). When I want to view the Amazon page they link to, I'm getting nothing but "Path Index Error." |
