I was browsing the press center earlier, and found this screenshot. It's an official screenshot that's for the media. If you look, it has a few distinct changes. It's like it's the Google of the future.

1) It includes a "Go to Gmail" link in the top right

and

2) Video doesn't have the "NEW!" label

Good pick Mambo.
But for my own, I think it comes from a kind of Greasemonkey script, made by a Googler, for the Googlers.

Seems to be a limited test or something, I don't have it...

Why would Google advertise Gmail ? I mean it's an invite based system for now.

I've tried two IP's, two browsers, cleared cookies, and like P.L. don't have it.

On Which page did you find the link to the screenshot Mambo.

Cool. Maybe it's a page for the future (when GMail will be out of Beta perhaps)

Wow Google admits that Orkut is a product, does this mean that it's being actively pursued.

Who would make Greasemonkey script to remove tiny "NEW" sign. I think those are some sort of internally tested changes that are available from within Googleplex network. That's why someone from the press department who made this screenshot had this (slightly) different design.

I spend the most of time at the Internet and when there is a free minute from work, I search for something on this theme, and I was happy when have casually found your site.

Greasmonkey is an extension for Firefox that allows custom scripts to be written that can change the look and use of web pages.

We're just waiting for the Go to Gmail link, now. Not that I'll ever use it, because of the Gmail Goog gadget.
