I'm not a programmer so this question may sound naive but here goes. Does anyone know where I can find a glossary of all of the search parameters one can use in Google News? For example:
&as_mind &as_scoring &as_qdr

Here's what I managed to get out of the Google News Advanced Search page:
http://news.google.com/advanced_news_search
as_q = query (all of the words) as_epq = query (exact phrase) as_oq = query (at least one of the words) as_eq = query (without the words) as_nsrc = news source { e.g. CNN, New York Times } as_nloc = location (a country or a U.S. state) as_occt = occurrences { any = anywhere in the article; title = in the headline of the article; body = in the body of the article; url = in the URL of the article } as_drrb = date { q = when using a period – i.e. as_qdr; b = when using a date range } as_qdr = date range { <empty> = anytime; h = last hour; d = last day; w = past week; m = past month } as_mind = start date { 1, 2, 3, ... 30, 31 } as_minm = start month { 1, 2, 3, ... 11, 12 } as_maxd = end date { 1, 2, 3, ... 30, 31 } as_maxm = end month { 1, 2, 3, ... 11, 12 } as_scoring = sort by { r = relevance; d = date } hl = language pair { en = English, etc. } ned = news edition { uk, etc. } output = format { <empty> = html, rss, atom } svnum = number of results (doesn't seem to work though)
(I've no idea if that's complete and which are optional, etc. I'll leave you to figure that out...) |
