Does Google have a company store on-site in MV that the public can visit? (Like Yahoo does.)

No--we don't have that purple cow in the lobby either :). I believe the thinking was we'd rather use that room to have more space for engineers, and people can always visit googlestore.com online.

Matt, I think each of the goog offices , should have a space where public can walk in and buy stuff.. and they should also be able to sign up and take a tour and what not .. heheheh :)-
