I believe, within this last couple of weeks, Google has changed. Every employee has taken in what Sergey said about "i'm getting lost with how many products we have"... and have actually stopped focusing on bringing out new tools.
Although it's still happening (with things like Code Search), so far, it's been about improving existing products:
- Groups - Reader - Notebook
Merging existing products
- Docs & Spreadsheets
Stripping beta tags
- Picasa Web Albums
... I'm liking this new Google. People might start paying attention now. |
