It looks just like it.... |

it seems to be that new module |

The screenshot that Phillip posted shows the add box to be a "+". The screenshot for the module Kirby is linking to shows a "x". I don't know if that is relevant or not.
I don't see anything on my Homepage.

Yep, definitely is that module. Just installed it. It looks good though...
Now if only google would standardize the bar, implement it over all producs, and make it customizable, then it would truly be useful. Right now it looks like it's just static html added to the individual apps. Notice the bar isn't uniform across every product. |

i installed it as well. Looks to me like its the same thing. |

Yes, it does appear to be that module. Too bad it has to be installed on each Tab.

This is exactly what Google should implement on ALL Google related pages (assuming you are logged in)...the customizations are perfect (including NOT opening in a new window).
Kudos to the author.
What is Google waiting for?...they have enough services!! |

Greg: I agree. This is exactly the kind of thing Google should have above all of its pages, and allow them to be customized. The module looks cool, but unless it works in GMail, Google Calendar and Docs & Spreadsheets, it's mostly worthless to me.
There should be a Firefox Extension for this, at least. |

Google really does need to implement this on all of it's services as everyone uses different services and there is no reason to not make it customizable. |

i just added that corner bookmark thing, looks good. i guess it just goes on the personal page, not on GM. wish they would roll this out across all pages, like GM, docs, groups, Picasa, etc. |

in the preview the box shows an 'x'. but when i added it it shows as a +. |

Added 'Reader' as that wasn't in the dropdown. Looks great. |

Microsoft has the start button, Google has the corner bookmark. It would be a shame to only access this via the module.
Personally, I'd like to be able to customize it, maybe somewhere within my Google Account settings. |
dpneal | 17 years ago # |
Yeah I would definately like this to be able to customize it. And it should be made available on all google pages, but you should also be able turn it off. |

It's weird, but I'm getting new reports from people who are seeing this configuration option seemingly coming out of nowhere... unless they all installed this module without knowing! |
TonyB | 17 years ago # |
The module was supposedly updated recently to allow customization. Could it be self-updating and that is what people are seeing?

I'm the Google Corner Bookmark author. I recently did update the module to allow customization and I just now updated the preview pics, but you might have to wait for Google's cache to update. http://www.abc.edu/xml/corner_bookmark.png I searched for documentation on update procedures and didn't see anything, so I just went ahead and did it. Since Google kept adding items on the Gmail and GCal pages, I had to do something to keep up. It will be nice when Google makes Corner Bookmark customizable on all of their pages, but until then, I hope you enjoy my module. http://www.google.com/ig/directory?hl=en&num=24&q=google+corner+bookmark&btnG=Search+Homepage+Content |
