That's rather bloggers promoting Firefox and linking many times directly to the exe , which is not the case with IE7
Btw i don't think it's that enjoyable to have a direct download link of Google if a product is being "promoted" to me...

I doubt that this was deliberately added by Google, its just that LOADS of pages link directly to the EXE, rather than the download page
