A friend just suggested a great feature for GMail which we should see soon (listen up, Googlers): When I receive a .doc (and .xls) attached in GMail, I currently have the option to view as HTML or download.

What we need is the ability to view within Google Docs and Spreadsheets. As they continue to integrate, I hope Google implements this feature.

For the time being you can forward the mail (with the .doc file) to your writely upload adddress and that way you can see the .doc file using Google Docs.

DPic – I figure if Phillip picks up on it and posts it, plenty of Google employees will see it.

Does anyone else have simple feature/integration ideas like this?
