Mr. Maria Bravo from Madrid, Spain, just informed me that I won the European Year Award 2006 with one of my emails (I don't know which one, I write so many emails). This is part of the Millennium Scientific Computer Game; while I didn't buy a ticket for this, according to the email I received it's a promotional program aimed at encouraging internet users in general. I've been awarded the stellar sum of US $787,000.

On average I get 1-2 spam in my inbox per day. All the rest (about 200) Get marked as spam. I've only ever had 1 "real" e-mail in my spam box.

yeah I tend to agree, my spam filter on gmail is excellent..!!
Has anyone rationlized how many of these scam email are posted averagely ?? In my inbox its approx 141 counts..of which a quick scan by the header /title indicates approx 5 emails which seems to be phishing scams but the majority appears to be the xxx related emials.

Same here too, Mambo and Mrrix32. Although I never check anymore my spambox, so there are maybe "real" mails there and I dont know they are there... |

i think /pd might have registered with some xxx sites..... lol
i get 5-6 phising mails in average whereas 1-2 spam mails.......per day

Not necessarily, David. My mum has never ever signed up to anything with her e-mail address (i don't even know why she got one), and she receives 200 spam messages per week on her gmail. |
