The more I hear, the more I see the world falling apart. The truth is always hidden.

Dr. Stephen Hawking asked, 'How can the human race survive the next hundred years?' and he received about 15000 answers to the question. But is there really that much hope that anything will work?

With the political, social, economic, and environmental issues we face, the change of us surviving is slim. How will we manage our growing population and govern people? Will people be forced to give up freedom and liberty as we know it?

In a TED Talk, David Deutsch, mentions Martin Reece's opinion that civilization has about a 50% chance of surviving the next century. He also talks about how currently in our situation with global warming, our efforts to stop it can at most only delay the inevitable but we can survive if we solve the problems that will be brought upon us.

An Inconvenient Truth brings the climate crisis, only one issue of many major ones, into the mainstream.

Lies, lies, lies-- everywhere.

Information manipulation is so easy, any side can do it, so how can we know who to believe? There is only one way, and that is for everyone to be able to see the truth for themselves. Is it possible, to move the world to achieve total government, media, and market transparency-- true democracy? Can we have complete freedom of information?

Or are we doomed to the fate this image represents from a former Google Pick video? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4474347625309403979&q=democracy

That's a question only you yourself can answer – if anyone else answers it, you wouldn't know whether or not trust them in the first place.

But yes, the environment seems to be in a crisis and most of the world's leaders and mainstream opinions don't seem to cover this enough and act upon it (quite the opposite, at times).

"In all this time, I've yet to find a good way to convey to the non-technical public how well and truly screwed up we presently are, six years after the Florida recount. So now it's time to hit the panic button: In this article, I'm going to show you how to steal an election."

Estonia (or e-Stonia, as it has been nicknamed due to its enthusiasm for the Internet was the first nation ever to hold nationwide elections over the Internet this October..

So I don't see why the Americans can't do the same thing properly..maybe its just pure corruption!!
