http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/4664/sshot2gf8.png Ron got a 13 extra gigabytes for his Google Apps For Your Account email. That's really sweet. :D http://www.ronaldlewis.com/blog/2006/10/trick-or-treat-google-apps-mail-now-at.html http://googlified.com/2006halloween-candy-from-google/ |
I send the same link to Philipp one hour ago ;-) As usual, I know your source Haochi :-P |
That source is always a good source. ;) |
I've still got same old same old 2048. |
i dont really think its real though.. take a good look at the picture..
Gmail doesnt have – "Powered By Google" at the bottom..
or could it be on Google Mail and not Gmail?! |
David,
It's very real. The Google-hosted domains do include "Powered by Google" – it's part of Google's branding. You can also brand your domains with custom logo, too. |
you mean Gmail for your domain? https://www.google.com/a/Home
if so, the user gets only 2GB
i dont really think its possible Google will upgrade a hosted domain storage and not Gmails storage
dont you think? |
That's the whole point, David! That's why he's posted... because it's unusual! |
Nope not for me i have the same 2 gb
seem like like an accident 6gb upgrade for haochi in picasa they might have accidentally upgraded ron to a premium service. |

lol.. and its usual to get it on Gmail ? :P |
<<its usual to get it on Gmail ? :P>>
Nope, there's no probability or may be less..... |
Update:
Last night, Google rescinded their generous offering after seeing all of the news I made about my discovery (I noticed repeat visits from Google's HQ yesterday).
Here's the latest (complete with screen captures):

BTW,
Another extension of thanks for sourcing me as the original author of all of the discussions which have erupted in the blogosphere in the past 24 hours. I worked quite hard to get my own story noticed, and it's rather disheartening to see others benefiting from my own work via digg, etc.
Rather than take "ownership" of the reporting, you guys handled this quite well. I cannot say the same for others in the blogosphere.
Thanks again for your professionalism. |
I guess this was never confirmed? I have several Gmail accounts and was checking them all last week, cleaning out spam and checking for new invites when I noticed that 3 of my many accounts now have in excess of 15 gig storage space as well. I thought it was an error. I logged out, cleaned my cache, shut down my browser and tried again, same accounts same 15 gigs. Not sure why 3 accounts of all my accounts are like this. I haven't tested it to see if it will actually hold the max amount |
