The internet will hold so much digital data in five years that it will be possible to find out what an individual was doing at a specific time and place, an expert said yesterday.
Nigel Gilbert, a professor heading a Royal Academy of Engineering study into surveillance, said people would be able to sit down and type into Google "what was a particular individual doing at 2.30 yesterday and would get an answer"...

In theory. In practice, Google too has to respond to privacy concerns, sometimes. So even when in 5 years satellite imagery is at the theoretical point where they can zoom in on your shoelaces, that doesn't mean this data will be available on Google Maps. But I agree it's good to see what's possible for them internally one of these days, with solid AI and data...

well it won't be hard using dodgeball on mobile devices tokeep track of people...esp since mobile devices are starting to be built with a gps in them.

We just need to be careful... Make sure that we make everything so secure that even the Official Google blog can't get hacked into ;)
