Why does the Google logo appear as an X on the Google home page on my laptop but seems to be working fine on my work computer?

its got something to do with your browser..
it happens often on IE..

it happens sometimes with Firefox too

If it is a little X in the top left hand corner, it means the image cannot be loaded.
