Just refreshed my gmail, after gtalk was experiencing difficulties and lo! Gmail logo as well as the title bar have now changed to Google Mail! I think the british company seems to have won the battle of keeping the name "Gmail"

I am still seeing Gmail here (Canada)!

Found the reason. Actually, I connect to the internet through a proxy server and to access one particular site, I had changed my proxy server to the UK one instead of the normal US one.

So, I guess it is just for people in UK. This may be the settlement with that british firm, who knows.

Anyways, sorry for the false alarm :)

Yes, Google can't use the "GMail" trademark in the UK, so they use "Google Mail" instead. But the gmail domain name can still be used.

Yes, it is. Germany and the UK.
