Remember about 20 years ago the craze for keyrings that beeped when you whistled, to help you find them?

Twenty years from now, keyrings will have an IPv6 address and will beep when you click on a browser bookmark that says "find my keys".

It can't NOT happen.

The "Internet of Things"? Come now. Science fiction – there's no resources to support it.

But with unending resources and an infinitely resilient environment, the logical implementation of this would be cybernetic – you are the main point of experience for your life, and solid state electronics integrated with your senses and networked to wherever else would most "naturally" fit this.
