I don't see it either, but look at this...

Google Maps has a different logo today. It includes the continent of Africa into the logo as the 'g'. I have no idea what this is for. Anyone have any ideas? Sorry if this was already asked, I didn't see anything in the recent threads.

I'm seeing it (USA). I like it.

Is this the first time that a service besides Web Search has had a special logo?

I'd say it's related to the (so far unanounced) release of map details for Africa...

(My blog entry about it:

I see it currently too, also was able to use "click to call" test when I was looking for a movie theater. I clicked the "call" link, Google asked for my cell phone number, I submitted it quickly, and they called me and connected me to the movie theater I was looking for. Pretty nice.

Why does Google have Africa on its Google Maps logo? I see it live now, anyone else see the same?

Gmail, gTalk (in the program) and Orkut also had your "doodles"...
