I wanted to start up this thread again, since the old one has been closed.

Please, throw out all your ideas for the 'best' way to uninstall AOL.

I've used many diffferent techniques (Some more successful than others...) in the past, and would like to see other methods.

Include links to removal/registry tools.

(This ought to be fun...LOL)

Try my "How to uninstall AOL" tutorial:

I spent this summer and fall testing how to get rid of every trace of AOL, so it's a thorough tutorial.

Um, do you HAVE TO persist with that? There are many ways to get rid of AOL, especially if you know what you're doing, and my tutorial is thorough, and so is the product I use in it (jv16 powertools), which you can try for free for 30 days with no nag screens and no bother. It won't take you 30 days to get it uninstalled with my method, more like an hour to an hour and a half at the most. I'm sick and tired of people thinking they have to throw the computer out or reformat it because AOL is hard to get rid of. It is very hard to get rid of, but I'm trying to provide an easy, reasonable alternative, and educate people, too.
