The Google legal departments around the globe are sure busy places.

We just posted about Google's legal issues in Belgium and not this story from AFP about a video being investigated in Italy.

"The Milan prosecutor is reportedly investigating two legal representatives of Google for being accessories to "aggravated defamation" after the Internet search engine posted a video showing the violent bullying of a disabled teenager."

It's really a big case, at least in Italy.
Google video is really hated these days... and to sue Google seems to become a trend :-S

I think a user posted the video, not Google.

you're right, the user is one of the teens who made the bully video.

Next thing you know people will be blaming libraries for "posting" books like "Mein Kamf"... except I think that's already been done.

Sure, Mysterius, that's why Google in Germany censors some sites reproducing "Mein Kampf"* (though potentially not exclusively for reproducing Mein Kampf, as annotated versions may be available in libraries, but for other content as well – it's hard to investigate because the German censorship bodies won't always tell you**).

[Moved from "Google Italy Execs probed over abuse video" – Tony]

It appears the Italian authorities are trying to point blame on Google for a video that was posted to Google video showing a disabled teen getting abused by other kids. The video was taken down within 12 hours of Google finding out about it and Google contacted the proper authorities about the video so they can try and prosecute those involved in the video. But this wasn't enough for the Italian authorities who say Google should not have even allowed the video to be posted.
