I think Google needs a dedicated Customer support line for its google checkout customers.

I'm not the one that is currently having problems, david. But when I did have problems, it was very difficult to get ahold of them. A mom (who is now out $325.00, thanks to Google Checkout) wrote the following in an email to me after reading of my google checkout experiences.

"Unfortunately, this whole ordeal could have been avoided had Google cancelled my order when I asked them to. This started on Thursday with me ordering a Wii for my son for Christmas from ABCnet23 through Google Checkout. After checking further, I began to get a bad feeling about the merchant, so I asked to cancel my order. Google sent them an email telling them of my request – no response. I can't even tell you how many times I have tried to get someone at Google Checkout to understand that I think the company is a fraud and did not want to do business with them. At the time I asked to cancel the order, there was still plenty of time to catch the transaction at the bank. However, because of non-action by GC, the money is out of my account and I must now, apparently, go through legal measures to try to recoup. Still nothing from GC except generic messages telling me they are sorry for the inconvenience, they are checking into it, and then telling me how to check the status of my order. Honestly, this is sooooooo frustrating. $325.00 is a lot of money to me – it was going to be the only thing my son got for Christmas and I don't know what to do at this point. Google won't even give me an inkling of what is going on – is my order on the way? is it cancelled? am I getting my money back? etc., etc. "

My point is, David, that its very difficult for customers to resolve their gcheckout issues. This creates some real frustration for users. How likely to do you think this mom that is out of 325 dollars is to use google checkout again? In my own experience it was a couple of months before i dared to use google checkout again.
