Whether Google has had a genius idea launching Web Accelerator that is going to be its killer app(not for the reason they tell on the help pages) for many years,whether they didn't and therefore i am a real genius and i should immediately launch a search engine.That Webaccelerator is the most clever thing since Pagerank.Actually,I'm wondering if it is not even smarter than Pagerank.
I would like to know it there's a way to keep track of all the patents recently registered by Google. |
I wanted to post this on InsideGoogle as a response to the 2nd post(http://google.blognewschannel.com/index.php/archives/2005/05/04/google-web-accelerator-brings-up-a-lot-of-questions/) but it moderates comments and i'm too lazy to sign up.So here is it (Some parts are a bit redundant though):
"Anyway, this raises a lot of questions. If this program becomes very popular, Google will be running most of the world's website traffic" and "One thing I'm thinking of is that this just doesn't "feel" very Google. It almost seems beneath them. Even if it is a very effective product, its just a little gadget. I thought Google was supposed to be competing with Microsoft?
Nathan,it seems that you haven't found what GWA has really been designed for..(though you seem to have some of the same ideas i had when i saw this)..Try to think a bit.I can confirm: its main purpose is not to speed the web!If i'm right it's the most clever idea they had since Pagerank(in fact,i think it's a more clever one).If they really do what i think they do,Microsoft,Yahoo and all others will be just smashed away

and i agree with it being a possible alternative to pagerank. notice the little check box you have to fill when installing it--that it will record your usage stats. |
Tony, with some add ons, like prefetching... and I'm sure it's an extra-smart and extra powerful proxy. But I don't think it's for me... I don't have any speed problems so far, and I do have caching problems sometimes, so I probably uninstall this soon. |
It is even more powerful than that!It even allow them to know all the url you type.Even one they haven't yed indexed.That way,they will build the most comprehensive index ever! |
