Check this in Firefox:
http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html?hl=en&gl=us

Can you see anything?

I do not see anything out of the ordinary.

Btw, the abbreviation of Firefox is Fx, not FF.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/releases/1.5.0.8.html :
<<How do I capitalize Firefox? How do I abbreviate it?

Only the first letter is capitalized (so it's Firefox, not FireFox.) The preferred abbreviation is "Fx" or "fx".>>

I've never seen anyone using Fx for Firefox.

Google search for [FF IE]: 24,900,000
Google search for [Fx IE]: 2,720,000

As someone at http://digg.com/software/Google_Pack_Broken noticed, Google Pack homepage keeps reloading (at least in Fx 2.0).

me too..
i use Firefox 2.0 and its working fine..

referring to your little argue;
its FF.
notice that Firefox 2.0 auto spell checker doesnt notify an error on FF but it does on FX / Fx / fx .
Ionut is right :)

I use Firefox 2.0 and I have no problem with pack, maybe if you've installed it?

Majority doesn't always rule:

"How do I capitalize Firefox? How do I abbreviate it?

Only the first letter is capitalized (so it's Firefox, not FireFox.) The preferred abbreviation is "Fx" or "fx". "

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/releases/1.5.0.5.html

and the folowing is also nice:

I've also linked to that Mozilla page and I do have Google Pack (actually only the updater, to test something), but the page loads well in IE7.

Continuing the FF vs. Fx debate:

Since the "Fx" abbreviation is only "preferred" I guess there's no right or wrong answer. Preferred or not, people will continue to use FF.

On a related note, are people going to stop using MSIE (Microsoft Internet Explorer) now that it's WIE (Windows Internet Explorer)? Even the IE7 user agent string uses "MSIE 7.0" as its abbreviation...

Are people who are searching for "fx" really looking for Firefox though? I seriously doubt it. And if they are, they're unlikely to find it.

Ionut, I'm not sure whether one of the points you're trying to get at with that graph is that nobody uses MSIE, but since it's on the graph it must be a pretty popular search term... it wouldn't hurt to add comments instead of just posting links that keep us all guessing about what point you're trying to make you know! ;-)

Sorry Wouter, I won't let any Mozilla guideline tell me how to abbreviate Firefox, the main point of using "FF" is that you will actually be understood :)

True. Fx has a lot of unrelated meanings. Also ie.

But the main points is that not many people use MSIE for Internet Explorer.

I uninstalled Google Pack and the problem is still here.
