if you type a location in the toolbar search box, then click the earth logo, shouldnt that launch earth and show you the spot? i get an error msg.

Well it looks like theres a problem with launching Google Earth as the associated handler for that file type. I'm not sure how to fix that but I'm sure somebody else on here can.
