Not a huge update, but a much more compelling homepage. finance.google.com
Comparison charts, 30+ years of data, and other chart goodies went live recently: finance.google.com/finance?q=i ...
Sector pages got some love: finance.google.com/finance?cat ...
You can also now search for multiple tickers at once from anywhere for a comparison: finance.google.com/finance?q=m ...
And portfolios got multiple views, transactions, and importation. There's a link for sending feedback at the top of every page.

Very cool. My mom is a portfolio manager for EPG Inc. They are investment advisor's for small banks and companies and she liked the things that Google Finance has that other services don't, but it was lacking in some areas before and (although it's not perfect) this stuff is sure to help her out.

New features: * Sector summary – distribution of companies based on today’s performance. * Top movers – sort by price, market capital, value, volume, and popularity that divides into Gainers and Losers * Currency Exchange Rate – under “Market summary” category * Recent quotes – now showing recent news

Except, I can't see my recent quotes right away. That's what I used gFinance for...

[Moved from "Google finance changes" – Tony]
It appears Google Finance has quietly changed their layout or they are doing some testing.

It includes changing their market summary gadget a little...possibly slight enhancements to their charting component. Added a couple of new gadgets, including Sector Summary and Top Movers.

Try this finance.google.com/finance?cat ...
And scroll using your middle wheel on your mouse quite impressing usability to visualize it by time

i don't like the new look. i'm sure google could come up with something better. they need a professional design, but thats also very simple
