I was expecting someone else to catch this first:

About: As part of Google’s mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful, we’re constantly working to expand the diversity of content we make available to our users. With Google Patent Search, you can now search the full text of the U.S. patent corpus and find patents that interest you. You can view images of original patents online, or save and print them for offline use.

Seriously didn't expect this one coming.... |
lol.. notice that the " Patent Search " and " BETA " are NOT part of the logo..
anyone knows why? |
David: It is not too unusual. I mean I know that for image search the writing is part of the logo image – but for book search it is not.

By the way – nice find with the Google Patent Search. It is now on the "Even more" list. |
Two quick points.
1) If you are looking for published patent apps (before they are or are not) awarded. That database is not part of today's Google release. It's available here in the box with the yellow header. http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html
2) If you are looking for patents and patent apps from more than 60 countries, take a look esp cenet http://ep.espacenet.com/ The interface is also available in several languages. |
You can also use Google to search for US Apps, select foreign publications, and non patent prior art via a Google Co-op search engine named PatentScourge. www.patentscourge |
