I always thought it was interesting when a candidate had an open source project or other code up on the web. It helps get a feel for how they would write code at Google.

Are your grades in school and salary requested a filtering process for job interviews at google. I got a call from a recruiter at google about couple months ago and the above two were some of the questions she asked.

I have not heard back from her ever since. No techincal questions or anything related to the job I was applying for.
