A family of 6, poisoned by mushrooms, were given an experimental medicine not yet available in the US which was found on Google Scholar. The family had days left to live when the medicine was found and the doctors weren't really allowed to use the treatment in the States.

HISTOPATHOLOGY REPORT
Macroscopic Description Specimen consists of four small tiny gray white irregular soft friable pieces of tissue. The largest one has a maximum diameter of about 0.5 cm. Embedded whole in two blocks.
Macroscopic Description Sections show a small piece of tissue lined by well differentiated stratified squamous epithelial cells. The dermis presents large areas of caseation necrosis surrounded by epithelioid cell granulomas containing Langhans’ giant cell and lymphocytes. Diagnosis Rx Eye lid tissue growth lower left (biopsy): Granulomatous inflammation, histologically tuberculous.
