I've found a strange domain pointing to google.
www.ghut.org
Yes, anyone can "point" a domain to google , nothing news. but the singularity is that this domain is comprised in a "IP zone" managed by the google Autonomous System 15169 , and apparently it have only two subdomain :" www" and "cdn-google" (cdn-google.ghut.org)
only a coincidence ??

<< and apparently it have only two subdomain >>
Where did you find that information? There's at least one more:
google.ghut.org
In fact, it allows any domain in the form of *google*.ghut.org – and the following variations seem to work too, all pointing to Google:
g-o-o-g-l-e.ghut.org g-o-g-l-e.ghut.org g-g-l-e.ghut.org g-g.ghut.org
And many others too – try them yourself... |
i've extracted the information from the AS(autonomous system) . in effect it seem to work with any subdomain : try : http://whateweryouwant.ghut.org/ or http://asdfasdfasdfasdfasdfasdfasdfasdfasdfasd.ghut.org/
like was the "qos" google domain in the past , accepting any subdomain before qos. (i think they fix to prevent spam or phishing)
for a more accurate "diving" try robtex.com (http://www.robtex.com/ip/64.233.167.99.html) for example :-) |
Weird. I'd tried test.ghut.org and got an error so just assumed it wouldn't work for any subdomain.
BTW, please could you explain what you mean by the "Google Autonomous System 15169" – you totally lost me there! |
wow , in effect it work for "anysubdomain" except something like "test" ( but http://froogle.ghut.org/ work and point to Froogle!!! ) and also http://groups.ghut.org/.
so , about the AS15169 it's too long to explain here. take a look of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_system_(Internet) . in other words any large organization ( like google , or an university or a service provider ) normally manage an AS . in the past , these systems were fully accessible by anyone for verify ip traffic, hops and so, via specific tools or via some "lookin glasses" |
Thanks, Luca. BTW, that robtex.com site is pretty useful – I'd never seen it before! |
