Nope. Clear your cache, cookies etc.

I think Google need some little ajaxy touches in it's web results. Still keep it nice and clean though. Am I'm sure they could give more space to search results, by making the search area closer to the top.

More Ajax though...

I'm not getting the same results. I still have the standard layout. (I am running search history)

The "new" layout was already there, I really got used to it, but after few weeks it disappeared and I cannot run it again. By first view it doesn´t look too nice, but after some time I have to say that this layout is way better.

i wonder when Google will decide to release it.. :/

They won't release. It's too subtle to make the change. I've used it before, and I think it's quite an unthoughtful redesign.

so youre saying they wont replace the design ever?

No, I just think when they do change the design, it'll actually be a bit more ground-breaking, rather just moving the menu from the top to the left, for no apparent reason.

I disagree. That move means that results are little bit higher and more in the middle (horizontally) – both is an improvement of UI, I think.

Sankar, do you still have your Google cookie, and would you mind sharing it here? You can read about the details here: http://www.imilly.com/google-cookie.htm#googleanon-se and here: http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2006-09-22-n72.html

If you're not sure how to grab the cookie details, an easy way is to use the ShowCookie bookmarklet from my page (above), then post a (big) screenshot of the dialog that will pop up. Or grab it from Tools/Options/Show Cookies in Firefox. Log out of any Google Account services (e.g. Gmail or Search History) first.

jilm, I'm with you – I think it's a better UI, for the use of vertical and horizontal space, and the 'More>>' links repeated at the bottom of the page too (for those of us who default to more than 10 results).

I'd love to get a 'working' cookie, so that I could use it as my default again. If Sankar can share, I'll put up a new GoogleAnon SE bookmarklet so anyone interested can easily try it out, for a while, or semi-permanently.
