I contacted Google with a small issue. And to my surprise I found out that their customer support staff knows almost nothing about their advertising campaigns.

I use the Paid Keyword advertising on google and which in turn also displays my ads on it's content network like Business.com – Now I use Business.com's Paid Keyword advertising separately and so all I wanted to confirm with Google is that when my ads appear on Google's content network and if I am already advertising individually with that network then I should not be charged twice .... Read the following and see how ignorant their staff is:

Thank you for contacting Google AdWords. Please hold a moment while we route your chat to a specialist who will help you with your question: "".
Brian K has received your message and will be right with you.
Brian K: Hello, Tony. Thanks for contacting Google AdWords. How may I help you today?
Tony Raval: Hi Brian, I had a question about Google's content network
Tony Raval: the keywords that we are bidding on google also appear on the content network
Tony Raval: right?
Brian K: Yes, your AdWords ads are eligible to appear on our partner sites within the content network.
Tony Raval: and the content network includes business.com too ..... now the issue is that we are also doing pay per click keyword marketing on business.com, so does that mean that our listings will appear twice on business.com and we will be charged twice? One by Google and one by Business.com??
Brian K: Does business.com offer a pay-per-click advertising service?
Tony Raval: yes
Brian K: I see.
Tony Raval: so??
Brian K: Would you mind waiting a moment while I look into this issue for you?
Tony Raval: no problem
Tony Raval: thanks
Brian K: Thank you for waiting, Tony.
Tony Raval: sure
Brian K: Upon further review, I have found that business.com is not a part of our content network.
Brian K: Therefore, your Google AdWords ads will not show on business.com.
Tony Raval: but it shows up under google content network

Brian K: To better address your concern, may I ask where you are seeing this information, Tony?
Tony Raval: click on the above information
Brian K: Thank you for the addtional information.
Tony Raval: I meant, click on the above link
Tony Raval: you will see business.com in there
Brian K: I see, Tony. I apologize for my error.
Tony Raval: okay – do you want to check with your superior please before coming to any conclusion?
Brian K: Although I am not familiar with how business.com's pay-per-click advertising program works, please note that you will be charged for any valid clicks received on your Google AdWords ads.
Tony Raval: I know that
Tony Raval: that is not my question
Tony Raval: why should I advertise with google content network if I am already advertising on those content networks individually?
Tony Raval: there has to be an answer to this and it is possible that you might not know, if so, can you please route me to the person who can answer this?

I don't use AdWords, but there is an option to block the ads on certain sites.

Listen: Google has an indian customer service! No wonder why it's so wak. They do not know what they are talking about. It's ridiculous I agree.

Wanna talk about a new PPC technology coming up?

There is a talk about a new search engine who has a patent for a "Pay per valid click" technology and from what I heard they are going to compete with Google on the sponsor results:

Hopefully, they'll have an AMERICAN customer support!
