Here's some news that I wanted to share with all,
One can web-host Picasa albums directly from a home / office PC using Purplenova. The option 'Export to HTML pages' in Picasa followed by web-publishing the contents of the directory from the WEBPAGES tab in Purplenova creates a URL to the album with all the navigation capability intact.

I don't find any reasons why would *I* want to do that...
By the way, I used the PWA API to build an album page on my site. :)
