Anyone tried it lately? MAN it takes a looooong time to load.

LOGGING IN..

LOADING...

(then it inexplicably has to change color..)

then you're in.

I've fired off 5 Gmails by the time this thing loads.

ACK.

Heh. What I found most annoying in everyday Yahoo Mail Beta usage are the giant graphic ads.

Y! Mail 18 seconds vs Gmail 9 seconds (Gmail HTML version took ~1 second).
Worth to note that Yahoo Mail loads more junks.

It takes my PC 4 seconds to arrive at the Gmail page from the time I double click the mail notifier icon in the systray.

Since there's not a Y! Mail equivilant, it takes 12 seconds for me to arrive at the Y! Mail Beta page after I click on the Y! mail icon in the toolbar.

GMail loads three times faster. I just wish they had a quick compose link on the personalized page.

Yeah, it's really slow, but I like it. It has a really nice interface. I usually read something while I wait for the loading sign to disappear.

You can block ads with Adblock Plus extension if you are using FF.

I've heard that Adblock Plus blocks Google Analytics, is that true?

Is there a Yahoo HTML mail interface like for Gmail?
I wonder what we can do when forced to the new version.

Phillip: That seems to be the case for dutchblock. There's a thread on the Adblock Plus forums regarding the issue here: adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopi ...

...doesn't really affect me though because I just have NoScript block Analytics.
