It looks like soon, .xxx domains will be available for adult content. Someone over at Slashdot suggests www.slashdot.xxx: "Porn for Nerds. Stuff that matters."

This is a poor decision, IMHO. The Internet won't stand t be hard-coded. .com, .net, and .org have already lost their meaning, and .xxx, .jobs, .travel or whatever specific market they decided to cater to are just going to become spam-laden corners of the web. There is absolutely no trust in anything but com/net/org and therefore no reason to move to such things. 99% of the time that I see spam in el GOOG's results, it is on a .info domain name.
