(Strange, from Germany I count 2 points but get the following at the bottom of your query Ionut: "In response to a legal request submitted to Google, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read more about the request at ChillingEffects.org." http://www.chillingeffects.org/notice.cgi?sID=945) |
I get: 1 – www.seriall.com/mostpopular.html 2 – asta-killer.com/list.html 7 – keygen.name/bestof.html 8 – serials.ws/
and no bottom note. |
(Correction: I now count 4 points + the bottom note.) |
maybe they do not put them out as such services are the most wanted search terms ;)
But I agree – they should at least hide them by default and on the top place a link "Results containing harmfull codes were removed, if you want to display them, click here", as they do with other "harmfull pages" for some visitor groups – e.g. sexual content for children.
There may be a problem, that many pages got this harmfull code because someone hacked their pages and they simply do not know this. But this new behaviour will instruct them, and that's very good. |

The other change to the original warning is that "Or you can continue to [URL]" is no longer a link to the site. In fact there is no link to the site at all (only to the Stop badware site and to the results page). You have to copy and paste the URL. Many less sophisticated users will have problems with that.
BTW – http://www.adwarereport.com/mt/archives/000352.html |
<<This is happening to hundreds of great sites all across the internet.>> I have been brain-washed by Google to accept this fact :-) The top result for adwarereport is not blocked but the indented one is so if you click the first link (or use "I'm feeling lucky") you still go to their site! But really if Google has warned you I think you have the right to click a link to continue to the site if you wish. |
When can we get a Grease Monkey script to remove the sites from the listings? |
