Athough Google is the king, Yahoo still generates enough potential traffic to warrant examing this concern.

HAS ANYONE FOUND THIS TO BE TRUE OR SUSPECTED THIS?

There is a long standing algorithmic bug in Yahoo Organic SERPs

1- Getting listed on the Yahoo Directory will nix your organic listing algos

2- Getting a local Yahoo listing will also nix your organic listings algos.

Organic ALGOs independant of the controversy regarding the Edited Title and Descriptioin on the Directory and the Ones appearing in the Local Results (above the natural serps)

While the sites will still be in the Yahoo serps' database and come up organically using the SITE or LINK operator – there is an insidious programming flaw that conflicts with the rankings in the organic SERPs once sites have been listed on the Directory or the Local Results.

It might be advisible to either get a seperate Website & URL just for listing in the Directory or the Local Results.

This is important since Organic Yahoo appears to still be very influenced by backlink quantitly & ancor text.
