That's really interesting, /pd. Has this changed recently at all? It's curious that there's a STREET tag under the ADDRESS tag, since when you export Gmail contacts as .csv there's no arrangement of the address into sub-fields.
Could they be trying to structure the data more than they did? |
Not sure, they could be unifiy'ing the meta structures together ..so that cross funtional usage now becomes possible.. However, I am not seeing the STREET TAG in my XML ..
heres a sampe for me .
<Contact> <Id>54</Id> <Name>/pd</Name> <Email>slash.pdgmail.com</Email> − <Emails> − <Email> <Address>slash.pdgmail.com</Address> </Email> </Emails> <Affinity>345</Affinity> − <Thumbnail> gmail.com" rel="nofollow" style="display: inline-block; max-width: 300px; overflow: hidden">http://mail.google.com/mail/photos/slash.pdgmail.com ?sml=1&rp=1&pld=1&756463064 </Thumbnail> − <Picture> gmail.com" rel="nofollow" style="display: inline-block; max-width: 300px; overflow: hidden">http://mail.google.com/mail/photos/slash.pdgmail.com ?rp=1&pld=1&477381327 </Picture> − <Groups> − <Group> <id>^Freq</id> <value>slash.pdgmail.com</value> </Group> </Groups> <Notes>http://peterdawson.typepad.com</Notes> </Contact> |
I get this for contacts for whom I have a land address entered (I've changed the person's actual address here but haven't altered the tags):
<Address> <Unstructured>28 Via Delle Quattro Fontane 00184 Roma Italy</Unstructured> <Street>28 Via Delle Quattro Fontane 00184 Roma Italy</Street> <Source>UNSTRUCTURED</Source> </Address>

interesting..its pulling variants in of data..
I have checked my contact -edit contact info = >add more contact info and still do not see a field that indicates <street>
And add another field only works for <emailID> under that contact details..
