The API (like all other GData APIs) also supports JSON, e.g.:

picasaweb.google.com/data/feed ...

You could use to do a widget-style client side rendering of your album (instead of your PHP script), which could be useful for Flickr-style blog badges.

Anyway. I think Google API should be simpler. For my testing, I found most of people can not use API. Please notice, also all person does not have problems for use Windows.

Yes, you will say API is for programmer only. But I think, this kind API can be made simpler.

Only that the thumbnails are too large to fit in a sidebar.

I have created a JavaScript in January that can display the full album on a site.
googlified.com.googlepages.com ...

googlified.com/2007embedding-p ...

You can find a working example here.
googlified.com/albums

Good news Philipp, we've switched Picnik to use Google's AuthSub authentication. Now you don't have to give Picnik your Google password which we really didn't want to hang on to anyway! Give it a whirl.

Still trying to get my head around this.

Would I be able to create a new site and use the Picasa app to upload photos to that site (even though I would also be uploading them to the Picasaweb site)?

Can't get your PHP function to work. I keeps saying: "Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR". What am I doing wrong?

Are you using PHP 4 or 5?

Hi, indeed, it's because I used PHP4. Now it's working fine. In fact, I made some kind of template/plugin for Wordpress. Is it okay to put it on my website? Of course I will mention your name.
