I'm forced to use a Mac at work, so if this can sync with my home GDesktop account I just may use it.

I am having troubling installing it here... a lot of time is spent on this "authorising" step.

Also it looks like this is Google Pack too. Sort of managing your other Google for Mac apps.

Ok sorted that – looks like I just got a faulty .dmg file. Working fine now and indexing everything. It is very nice :)

Cool. Do they have a linux version? I use Kubuntu. The problem is that nobody uses a mac. In all fareness there is all ready a feature like this in OSX and not enough people will download so its not worth creationg it. I'd say they only made it so it looks as if Google are equal to all OSs(which they are.

But you're right, I wouldn't mind if Google releases some more linux software in the future (Google Desktop would be good)

I definitely second (or rather third) the call for a linux version. Beagle is ok, but it lacks many features of google desktop...including the sidebar, widgets, and extensive list of plugins. Even a wine-ported version like picasa would be fine as long as it performed decently, although I'd think a linux version of google desktop would be relatively easy to make since it's based on their web search engine...and I believe the os on some of their servers is derived from linux.
