Google start Google Housing in the USA on a query like "Seattle real estate" or "homes for sale in San Diego". You can use Google Translate as an american proxy to see it .

Yes, but the addition of the location and choice of rent (or sale) in the results is new i think ?

Google Blog message about Real Estate searching:
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2007/04/homes-not-just-homepages.html

Different searches that trigger the real estate one box:

homes for sale in <city name>
Example: "homes for sale Chicago"

homes for rent in <city name>
Example: "homes for rent seattle"

<city> real estate
Example: "miami real estate"

Not all metropolitan cities trigger this real estate search though. I'm surprised you can't add state information to the query. For example, there are tons of city names that are duplicated in many different states.

Portland, OR versus Portland, ME

Pretty cool that they have 4 million housing listings though. I don't think it was like that one year ago.
