Why pay a TV Licence when you can watch it free at http://rte.ie/live ?
Sky advertise that RTE 1, 2 and TG4 are all included in their package yet they can all be viewed on eithir Radió Teilifís Gaeilge's website or Teilifís Gaeltachta Ceathar's [which is ownd by RTE] websites. Where is the logic in that. And on the + side- there are no ads on the /live version so where do they make money from it? The only ads are for the RTE Guide[tv guide] and their Colin and Jim-Jim Breakfast show on 2FM both of which are owned by RTE. Their radio stations (RTE Radio 1, 2FM, Lyric FM, and Radio na Gaeltachta) can be listened to free on another part of their site. And they dont use pop-ups. Unlike US Broadcasting companies RTE has a bit of respectability. So. Wheres the money coming from?
