Yoooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooo!!! Google just updated their maps!!!
I used to always use Map Quest, because Google carried the oldest and the most outdated maps, some 10+ years outdated. That's not the case now. As of now, Google has the newest maps. Streets and Homes completed up to the year 2006 are now included on Google Maps!
See it for yourself, try mapping my house, which was built in year 2006:

2101 85th St Ct East
Tacoma, WA 98445

...it's not included on Live Maps, Yahoo Maps or Map Quest. But Google now has it:))))))

it might be for WA but not here in the east coast. i just looked trough some places and they are quite old (3-4 years old). The streets in Map mode might be up-to-date but the Satellite imagery is still old.

Oh hey, I just noticed that the Hybrid mode works at the two closest zooms. Before they didn't have the street overlay for those two close up views, so you just got a broken image. Nice.

My area got update last December with hi-res images taken in summer '06.
