There's quite a bit of buzz about this development which was supposed to be embargoed until Monday:

From John Battelle's blog:
<< From a draft of the release:
AOL today announced the launch of the AOL Search Marketplace, which is available to select AOL advertisers giving them the chance to buy sponsored links specifically targeting the AOL search audience (http://search.aol.com). The service, built on Google AdWords™ advertising technology, extends the suite of advertising solutions AOL can offer to marketers.
...
The new Search Marketplace is a result of the expanded five year strategic relationship AOL and Google entered into in December 2005. AOL test marketed AOL Search Marketplace with about 30 advertisers over the previous five months. >>
As spotted here 7 months ago... ;-) http://ruscoe.net/blog/2006/08/googles-aol-marketplace-account.asp |
I wonder if AOL is happy about the extra press this gets due to the broken embargo angle... so let's see how the interface looks on Monday, in case they launch... |
From what I understand, it's just a rebranded Google AdWords for AOL sites. I wonder if Google will open this white labeling to other companies. |
Because they own MapQuest (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9504E0DD1539F930A15751C1A96F958260). Post larger screenshots (there's an option for the thumbnail size). |
Click them for full size. |
It's the same image if I click on it (duh...). Moreover, I am prompted to save it on my computer. |
I used the wrong part, sorry. Im new to PWA. I used to always use imageshack |
Ionut, I was wondering the same thing. There are versions of the Press Release knocking about now but nobody seems to have an actual link to the AOL Search Marketplace where you can register/login. |
