yeh, I recall they said uploading videos to Google Video is new. for like 6 months or so.

This isn't new. The only thing that is new is they added a link to the image labeler at the bottom of the image search results.

There is a cool Google Tech talk video called "Human Computation" that brings up image labeling. Image labeling is discussed around 10:35 in the video.
