Garett Rogers called it "bordering on unusable", so don't even try. :) (Really slow for me, btw)

This is pretty sweet. Other US cities that have this feature are:
Chicago, IL
San Francisco, CA
Denver, CO
Seattle, WA
Boston, MA

Buildings in Tokyo have been 2.5D for a while. There are a couple of differences though:
- some of them are colored (cfr. supra): e.g. hotels are green
- there's no shine-through
- less details (just contours and blocks) see e.g. Docomo Tower on http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=35.684392,139.703267&z=20 and compare it with the satellite image.

click on the New York link in the article:
http://maps.google.com/?q=New+York,+NY&ie=UTF8&z=18&ll=40.748562,-73.985608&spn=0.002824,0.004731&om=1
switch to Satellite and look at the bottom left corner

Do you see the two tall buildings seeming to "get attarcted towards each other" :-o

Its an old issue, but I thought Google would´ve fixed it by now!
